Surprise! These wonderful fall-flowering relatives of the well-known spring Crocus give the autumn garden an unexpected look of spring, but in September and October! Graceful and colourful, autumn-blooming Crocus and Colchicum are truly lovely pushing up through a ground-cover, massed under a tree, mingled with late-blooming perennials. We have selected some of the nicest cultivars, and over time they will clump up to form brilliant oases of colour in the sometimes drab fall garden. It's fun to mix the larger Colchicum with the smaller Autumn Crocus; the colours are complementary.
PLEASE NOTE: These are best planted in the late summer. We start shipments in late August. |
